Biology Data
- BCO-DMO - Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office - Accepts and provides access to marine biogeochemical and ecological data sets from NSF-funded research programs. BCO-DMO is also the data repository for the US GLOBEC and JGOFS programs.
- Dryad - Dryad - An international repository of data underlying scientific and medical publications, particularly data for which no specialized repository exists. All material in Dryad is associated with a scholarly publication. Most data in the repository are associated with peer-reviewed articles, although data associated with non-peer reviewed publications from reputable academic sources, such as dissertations, are also accepted. Dryad is a non-profit organization.
- GenBank - National Center for Biotechnology Information - Accepts and provides access to genetic sequence data.
- Neotoma - Paleoecology database for plio-pleistocene to holocene fossil data.
- NODC - National Oceanographic Data Center - National Data Center that accepts and provides access to biology data, buoy data, chlorophyll, nutrients, ocean currents, oxygen, plankton, profile data, salinity, satellite data, sea level, snow & ice, temperature, waves. Please note that routine underway oceanographic shipboard data collected with standard equipment aboard the UNOLS fleet (e.g. CTD, ADCP, XBT, MET, TSG) are routinely transmitted to NODC via Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R).
- OBIS - Ocean Biogeographic Information System Marine - Established by the Census of Marine Life, OBIS accepts and provides access to biogeographic data collected throughout the global oceans.

- NCDC - National Climatic Data Center - National Data Center that accepts and makes available weather, climate, paleoclimate, meteorological data.

- ASODS - Antarctic and Southern Ocean Data Portal of the MGDS - Accepts data collected from oceanographic expeditions in the Southern Ocean.
- ASP-LDEO - Academic Seismic Portal at LDEO - Seismic Reflection Field Data from the academic research community.
- ASP-UTIG - Academic Seismic Portal at UTIG - Processed Seismic Data.
- CSDMS - Community Surface Dynamics Modeling System - models and data related to earth-surface dynamics modeling.
- CUAHSI - Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc - Operates the Hydrologic Information System (HIS) which accepts data and provides services for sharing hydrologic data.
- CZO - Critical Zone Observatories data - Data related to the National Critical Zone Observatory Program including in-situ environmental sensors, field instruments, remote sensing, and surface and subsurface imaging.
- GeoStrat - Accepts sedimentary geologic and biostratigraphic data.
- IRIS - Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology - Passive and active source waveform data, event (earthquake) catalog, channel response data.
- LEPR - Library of Experimental Phase Relations - Data from experimental studies involving liquid-solid phase equilibria relevant to natural magmatic systems.
- MagIC - Magnetics Information Consortium - Accepts and provides access to paleomagnetic data from individual measurements to specimen, sample or site level results, including a wide variety of derived parameters or associated rock magnetic measurements.
- MGDS - Marine Geoscience Data System - Accepts marine geophysical data (e.g. bathymetry, seismic data, magnetics, gravity, images) and related land-based data from NSF-funded research conducted throughout the global oceans. Data Portals include GeoPRISMS, MARGINS, Ridge 2000.

- SCEC - Southern California Earthquake Center - Maintains an archive of earthquake data for research in seismology and earthquake engineering in Southern California.
- UNAVCO - University NAVSTAR Consortium - Accepts GPS data and data products.

- EarthChem - EarthChem - Accepts and makes available geochemical datasets (analytical and synthesis).
- MetPetDB - Data system for metamorphic petrology.
- PetDB - Accepts and provides access to geochemical and petrological data for ocean floor igneous and metamorphic rocks, (whole rock, volcanic, glass, mineral, and melt inclusion analyses).

These data are a product of decades of observations related to the physical characteristics of ocean waters carried out during WOCE, CLIVAR and numerous other oceanographic research programs.
- CCMP - Provasoli-Guillard National Center for Culture of Marine Phytoplankton (CCMP) accepts strains for deposition if the Director or Curator agrees that the strains are a valuable addition to the collection. Examples include strains that are referred to in publications, contain interesting molecular, biochemical or physiological properties, are the basis for taxonomic descriptions, are important for aquaculture, or are from an unusual geographical location or ecological habitat.
- CDIAC - Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center - Carbon dioxide data: archival data for the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) and the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) CO2 measurements.
